The Story

There is no easy way to say this. Whilst travelling back to your village from a trip to the local port, you were attacked and almost killed by a werewolf. Whilst you survived the attack, you were bitten during the fight and the curse of the moon is now in your veins.

I know. Bad luck, right?

You can’t go home like this, but fortunately the farmers who found you and patched you up are well-steeped in local lore and know of a place that might help – Moon Rock.

It is said that a new werewolf who reaches Moon Rock before their first full moon rises can choose to either embrace their wolf nature or reject it.

The details of exactly what that means are a bit sketchy, but it’s not like you’ve got much choice, is it?

So it’s off to Moon Rock, which the farmers are pretty sure is on the other side of Wildren Forest and just over Dagger Pass (an infamous mountain pass).

Questionable directions aside, the farmers are kind enough to give you some provisions for the journey before advising you to make haste, as the next full moon is only twelve days away.

What you don’t tell them is that you can feel your blood burning in your veins, and you know that the longer your condition remains untreated, the more likely it is that you’ll transform into a wild werewolf with nothing in your mind except violence and murder!
